    Romans ruled Egypt from Alexandria and therefore did not leave in Cairo, only a few of the most important monuments and Babylon Fortress

    Fortress of Babylon

    This fort built to protect the Romanian military to be the first line of defense for the eastern gate of Egypt, and have chosen this site because Egypt is mediating between the Lower and Upper Egypt, and thus make it easier for the Romans control any uprisings against their rule in the North Owaljnob.
      Roman fortress known as "Palace of Wax" or "Babylon Fortress" and an area of about half a square kilometer and is located inside the Coptic Museum and six Coptic churches and monastery.
